Friday, April 2nd, 2010the tricks of a king!!! (and his peons)
Friday, April 2nd, 2010dude, 4 the last 4 days we have been everywhere from the snowboarding slope to the top of the mountain 2 sleep. Can you believe it? but believe me, if i was 2 recap the events of everyday, you’d be bored and put 2 sleep. trus me, this is something worth listening.
Everyone had a goal on the mountain, right? Mine? to become an even better boarder than when i started. The 1st step towards taken it was 2 fully release myself from the stress of the life of my home. the 1st sign towards becoming that? i had to take a trip 2 the park because we had this photoshop training day. in it, me, shaki, and pedro and makayla were taken to the 360 park to have pics taken of us 4 the CI slideshow. i busted my butt the 1st try, but i trudged my butt back up the slope 2 try again. the 2nd time was a huge freakin’ success. i got this O.D. nice picture of me in the sky grabbing my board. found out i had the best pic of the whole students. (Homer doesn’t count he’s a freakin’ professional)
so how was that? try 2 do a tailgrab (that’s what i did) and make sure not 2 land on ur neck.
Jay Peak
Friday, April 2nd, 2010Vermont, Jay Peak Resort 2010, Fresh Track. A six day adventure where boys become men, Rise’ Em Jay. One of the toughest mountains in the East Coast. I love a challenge. So far I’ve learned how to ride switch, hit rails, do tail grabs coming off jumps, and how to butter 180 toe grab while riding. Its an unbelievable feeling doing something and succeeding at it. My Instructors Rob, Gio and Homer have been a big part of my success so far at Jay Peak, and I think I speak for everyone when I say this. They alway keeping us motivated, giving us tips, and telling us what we are doing wrong. With their constructive criticism and our determination to be better, only God can stop us from here. We did a photo-shoot in the park which went really well. I wasn’t the one taking pictures but my peers were. I was actually in the phoot-shoot which was really cool. I felt a sense of pride as if am doing something right. I’m not going to lie though, I was pretty nervous. You want to set a good impression. I knew I could throw some tricks down but when its your first time riding with other people who get some good air, you cant help but fell a little intimidated. All went well though and I landed a tail grab. After me and my group went up the tram. When we got up to the top (4000ft) elevation, we shredded as if an avalanche were falling. Sounds scary, well it wasn’t. I had a awesome time and wont mind doing it over and over. I almost forgot to mention, I meet a new friend while i was riding down. I like to call her “speed”. Me and her became best friends during my time at Jay Peak. I would never forget her and I hope to be visiting her very soon.

Last day on my snowboard
Friday, April 2nd, 2010Well everyone, today was another great day. This trip has happen to be one of the best trips i been on. Being here with amazing people and ding something new and adventurous has been great. Today we woke up extra earl to see the sun rise; which was amazing. I wish i would be able to see the view i saw everyday. After, we played some trust games to see that we would all be able to trust each other. Once, we got back down from the mountain we ate and had our few last rides down the mountain snowbroading. I at first was so scared and planned not to go down the mountain, but i ended up doing it a 3 times. i was so impressed with myself and by the end of the day i was fully able to learn how to snowbroading without falling and having an instrustor with me all the time. this trip has been an adventure and great. i can now say, “hey i know how to snowbroading all in days because of campinteractive.”

How would You Feel at the End of an Awesome Trip/Adventure?
Friday, April 2nd, 2010Today, I want to ask myself a question. I want to ask myself, “How would I would I feel at the end of an awesome trip or adventure?”Well, I learned to snowboard, did a few stunts, and met some new people. I guess I feel a little disappointed that I cannot stay longer than we were supposed to. I just learned to snowboard a few days ago, and I was ready to get rid of my board because, I was no good at it. I pushed myself super hard to keep snowboarding, and it got me some new skills, and endurance. I’m also happy because my wet clothes can be washed. However, I have built so many bonds with so many of the people that I cam here with, and it is going to be hard to forget and break them. Its going to take a lot to pack, Its also going to Take a long time to stuff into our tiny van. We can all stay in contact for now, but its gonna be another year until this happens again. But until then, I have some words of wisdom to speak:
Live and RIDE THE GNAR – Giovanni Garriga
So, how would you feel at the end at the end of an awesome trip or adventure?
Snowboarding at Jay peak vermont canada border!!!(2nd day)
Friday, April 2nd, 2010The second day which was the 1st day of snowboarding was very great i started off at the top of a mountain it wasn’t anything extreme …..yet i went up in the ski lift with an instructor from jay peak named rob and a volunteer for CI named gevoni the first run was great i fell once that’s because i didn’t snowboard for like three weeks then i got much better we went then to the rail park and the “half moon” it had a lot of trees around us and the turns were very short so i fell a lot i feal down front flips because the turns were heard and sometimes you might have to fall down so you wont hit a tree. After snowboarding we went to our house the house is just beautiful each person had to share a room accept the staff i cant even describe how beautiful the house is thats how nice it looks but for sure ill put up some pictures and maybe videos…after going home the boys went to their house and the same with the girls before having our homework time from 4:15 to 6:00 after finishing we helped Craieg make the best speggati ever then the girls came to eat and we played games and said andtalked about our plans for the rest of the week.
Day IIII(4 for those of you who dont know what that is).
Friday, April 2nd, 2010It is the third day now. So much has gone by since the first day we got here, and it is all going by so fast. Today, I was going on a tour of a maple tree farm. We had a great pancake breakfast by the maple tree farmer, who also owned a bed and breakfast. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but it is a very hard move for a beginner to pull off after only three days. Instead of sleeping in the warm, dry, comfy, super luxurious house that we usually stay in, we slept in a sky house that had a wet floor that looked like the grass that would be on the ground outside. It was like an ocean in there since the floor was always wet and you could never risk walking two feet in your socks. If you did, then you would be walking in heavy, wet socks. Overall, the rest of the guys at Campinteractive and were playing some awesome games during the night, and we hung out with Craig’s nephew, Yonie. He was a really smart kid. He was funny too. He’ s only ten years old, but he does a great Steve Erkel imitation. So, that was the way my day was.
Jay Peak Day 3
Friday, April 2nd, 2010Sup. It’s yours truly again, Diego. I’m here from Jay Peak reporting from my awesome journey. Today was one of the most epic days for me. The reason being so, is because I finally am starting to shred snow like a true skier. First off, I nailed my turning skills, I did a grind, did some jumps, and was able to go on the Metro. The Metro was a hill that was real fun for those who aren’t so good with skiing or snowboarding. Also, the good thing was that I went super fast going downhill without falling or breaking a bone. Well I don’t have much to say for today’s day but from what I heard, I’m going on a hike(Awesome!!!!), and eat some popcorn. So, thats all to say I guess, peace and stay awesome.
-Diego
P.S- I’m also the only male skier in my house so it’s a very hostile environment being that snowboarders hate us skiers.
Jay Peak Days 1+2
Friday, April 2nd, 2010Sup. This is yours truly, Diego, reporting live from Jay Peak, Vermont. I’m here to talk about my contuned journey of extreme winter sports. Yesterday wasnt such of a good day as today. You see, yesterday, I departed into my epic trip of awesomeness into Vermont. i had to endure 10+ hours on a small van with 15 other people on as well. This ride was a long, tiring trip that required a ton of willpower, determination, and paticence to face this long trip. Along the way, we were able to visit the Burton Headquarters. There, we were able to experiece how a day at the Burton Headquaters felt like. For one, the workers there are allowed to bring their dog’s to work. Also, working at the Burton Headquaters has a calm, peaceful environment to work in. When it was 5 to midnight, we finally arivived at our houses that we are able to stay at for the moment. Then, when we woke up today, we got to begin to snowboard or ski. The problem was, the girls weren’t there waiting for us as the program planed out for us to meet. Then finally showed up. I was then on my way to snowboard when our director Craig asked us, “ Who wants to ski today?” No one answered. He asked us this question yet again. No one still said anything. So I decided, ” Hey this can be my time to step up to the occasion”. So i said, ” I’ll go and give it a try”. This was done with pride. So after getting all of my gear set for the day, I was ready to begin skiing. But then, I fell. After half an hour later from trying to go down the bunny hill, I finally was able to go down the bunny hill with speed and awesomeness. But as I was ready to go down the Metro hill, I had to go and caused me to go through heartbreak. But luckly, I’ll be able to give it a try again tommorrow. Well, this is Diego wishing you all to enjoy your life and stay awesome.
