The Wall

The Wall was an activity at the Project U.S.E. base on Wildcat Mountain in New Jersey. It required strength, strategy, and, most importantly, teamwork. For the Lemonheads these were easy feats after spending eight days in the wilderness; we had it down. The Wall was just that, a wall, about ten feet high that we all had to climb over. However, there were rules. Only two people could remain at the top to help others climb over. As one person climbed over another would head back down to act as spotters for the people going up. Also, the last person would have no help getting lifted. We decided that the last person should jump up and hold on to someone’s hand that was at the top. Obviously, the last two people had to be pretty strong. These rules made the selection process of who goes up, very important. Things went smooth for us because we planned everything out. We decided that Pedro would be second to last and help Xavier, the last person get up. Meaning that Xavier had to jump up and grab on to Pedro’s hand. After several attempts Xavier did it. We were all so proud of each other because we overcame yet another obstacle.
