How to Conoe

     The stronger rower sat in the back to steer while the person in the front moves the boat fowered. There are different maneuvers used to move the conoe such as the C-stroke, back- stroke, sexy stroke, and the straight stroke. The C-stroke is when you move your paddle in the form of the letter C. This helps you turn your boat. Straight stroke makes you move straight. For the back stroke you move your paddle backwards so you can move backwards. The sexy stroke makes u move sideways and is done by moing the paddle in the shape of the letter s.

The Adventure



    The canoe trip began with a long drive to the Vermont/ New Hampshire boarder, not knowing where we were going or doing. When we got to our destination, we were told to unload the canoes from the trailer. When we got into the water it was deep and cold because it had been raining every day. We didn’t know how far we were traveling because the instructors refused to tell us. While canoeing we played tag and sang songs. In the middle of our journey, Jordan and Steven’s canoe attacked Anyece and Pedro’s canoe and soaked them, causing Anyece and Pedro to form an alliance with Katherine and Jimmy. Together planned to seek revenge on Jordan and Steven. They couldn't catch them at first but caught up later on? Later Katherine and Jimmy made peace with Jordan and Steven and planned a sneak attack on Pedro and Anyece. Angelica and Daniel got caught in the cross fire. When we got near the end we were very tired. It felt like we canoed all the way back to New York but only canoed 15 miles.
