Blindfold Hiking in Mt. Bold
During out hike up to the peak of Mt. Bold our instructors decided to do a group activity. This activity was made to enhance the groups trust. We were asked to pear up and one member of that per had to use their bandannas as blindfolds while the other partner guilds them up the Mountain. This was indeed a very good way for us to open up to the group, and start trusting each other. I was pared up with Katherine, natural I let her be the first to get blindfolded. I just did not believe she wouldn't allow me to fall, she is small. When I started to her instructions in where to make her move, she seemed like she had total trust in me, she didn't questioned me at all, she believed me and she knew i was being honest with her in giving these directions to her. 20mins into this blind hick we were asked to switch off on who was being blindfolded. It was my turn; I didn't had that much trust at first. It was so bad that I didn't even want to take step forward when she told me too, I was too concern about falling. It took me about 5mins to suck it up, let go of my fears of falling (we were almost at the edge by the way) and to start trusting Katherine with my life. After that point I really opened up, I started to trust my peers. At the end hike we reach the top of the mountain to find an incredible view. One of the Best sites I very seen in my life.
