It’s organized by Partnership for Parks and it’s about putting yourself out there. It is an event that gets people to clean up their parks around New York City. It is also to help others and make the world a better place. “It’s My Park! Day” is doing community service and it can help you get into a good college and high school. Next time why don’t you just join us and help us out?

Today was really crazy. I went up on the cliff and I learned how to use my speed check to control my speed. It was really sick, a lot of people got the opportunity to go to the top of the mountain and snowboard down and that was gnartastic (really, really, awsome). I have fallen and that was not cool but I just got back up and tried it again. I also helped people out when we went up the lift. I can’t wait untill day 3 so I can shred some more.
Today we went snowboarding and it was really fun. Everyone had a fun time and that was cool because when one person is having fun they can encourage others to have fun too.

The pure awesomeness of this sport is just awesome. This past Saturday, I was able to enjoy this activity with my buddies from Aspen Youth Experience (AYE) thanks to New York City Inner City Outings (NYICO). Sadly though, AYE, our partner organization, had to close down their offices to the kids of the inner city areas due to this rough economy. So before they closed down their doors, they came on a trip with us to go ice skating at Bear Mountain, New York.
This trip spanned from the early, lazy Saturday morning to the late night of the day. When the journey began, I was with one of my comrades. Once we arrived at Bear Mountain, I ran to get my ice skate rentals but they were the most uncomfortable skates around. It was all because they weren’t laced correctly. Then just as I’m about to bust out my ice skating mojo, I discovered that my comrade didn’t know how to skate. So I was asked if I wanted to be his teacher. I, of course, accepted this challenge.
I started off showing my young pupil how to master the art of ice skating. He fell a lot. Amazingly, he never gave up even though he continued to fall on the ground. It was impressive and he was able to go around the rink a whole time without falling.
After the ice skating experience, some people hiked along with me to the “Trailside Zoo.” A ton of awesome animals were in cages at the zoo. There was also a zoo-house where the weirdest thing had happened. You see, I was looking at a fish tank with toads in it, when I saw a hand inside the tank! It creeped me out. So I called some of my friends over to look. They of course didn’t believe me – but then, as they looked closer, the hand showed up and everyone got really scared.
The whole day went really well. Thanks NYICO.
Peace- Diego
My first day inside the place was yesterday December 21 2008.It was cool to see the inside of it. Today is my second day here and its really cool!!!! I like the people here. They’re pretty awesome :] They’re also really nice. Being new isn’t really cool because you don’t know anybody that well, and it is going to take me a while to get to know everyone because I am a shy person. I would like to know how to build my own website because I have been trying to do that for a while. -Johana D. :]]
My first day here I went on a hiking trip. I didn’t go with my best friend Johana because she couldnt go. Well the hiking trip was very fun. It was on the 8 of november (on saturday). It was raining and very wet. I had so much fun. I met a lot of new people, I was very scared and nervous the only people I knew was Kelly and Lewis. I did warm up and talked to a few people. I fell a lot I have a few bruises but it was all worth it . I had so much fun. It was my first time hiking. I totally hope its not my last. ~Amanda B. :)
Hey Guys this is Pooja and Joyce! We’re proud students of Bronx Science and are really glad to be helping here at Camp Interactive. We started this tutoring experience about a month ago, and each week we come, we learn something new about each of our tutees. The kids here are great and really cooperative. They appreciate all the help we offer and are really nice, sweet kids. We hope that as the year progresses we have even greater experiences and maybe join them in weekend events!
P.S – THE SNACKS HERE ARE GREAT = )
Why I come to camp is because it is fun and I can get away from my school and people. I made new friends also some them can be a pain but they are cool
I have a lot more friends here then at my school. It is so fun here in camp. My family loves camp because I get more help here than home. There are a lot of trips
in camp I cant believe Im going on them. I an so happy that I can go but still camp is fun than school. Campinteractive will always be here for me to go.
